​Enable Pattern Day Trade Protection in Robinhood

In this article, we are going to provide step by step instructions on how to enable pattern day trade protection in Robinhood. Please follow the steps below to enable pattern day trade protection in Robinhood app on your iPhone.

• ​Open the Robinhood app on your iPhone.
• Tap on the Account (Person) icon which is in the bottom right corner of the screen.
• Tap Investing.
• Scroll down and when you scroll down, you will see a section named Day Trades.
• Under Day Trades, you will see an option for Day Trade Settings.
• Tap Day Trade Settings.
• On the next screen, under Pattern Day Trading, you will see an option for Pattern Day Protection.
• Toggle Pattern Day Protection to turn it on.

If you enable pattern day trading protection, Robinhood will prevent you from placing trades that will likely mark you as a patten day trader. Protection can’t guarantee that you won’t be restricted. If you are marked as a pattern day trader, you may place trades only if the value of your securities and cash is above $25,000 at the end of the previous trading day.
