Lyft Driver-Sign Up Tutorial
Please follow the steps below to sign up for Lyft Driver. If you don’t have a Lyft Driver account yet, click here to sign up and get $480 by driving with Lyft in Detroit.

- Once you click on the link on your desktop computer or laptop, you will be directed to the page.
- To start, enter your mobile phone number.
- Then, click on Next.
- After that, enter all the required information such as your first name, last name, email, and city you will drive in. If you are from Michigan, you could use our promo code on each 51721.
- After entering, click on Submit.
- To verify your account, a verification code will be sent to the mobile number you provided. Once you receive the code, enter it. Then, click on Next.
- Now, answer all the questions being asked. First, select the reason why you want to drive with Lyft; how many hours you’re looking to drive each week; when do you want to drive; and if you’re applying to drive with any other apps. After answering all the questions, click on Save.
- Now, select your vehicle preference. If you have your own car, click on the button that says Use my car. But if you need a car, select the other option.
- Then, it needs your car details. To proceed, click on Next. Here, in this step, the form is only intended for those who have their personal cars to use. If you select earlier the option for I need car, just skip this. If you have your own car to use, enter all the information being asked. Then click on Continue. To run a background check, your Social Security Number is needed. Click on Next to proceed to the next step. After entering your SSN, you need to upload your driver’s license. To proceed, click on Next.
- On the field provided, drag or upload a photo of your license. Then, click on Save.
- Next, select how old your license is. Note that in order to drive for Lyft, you need at least one year of driving. To run a background check, an authorization is needed. To read the disclosure, click on Next.
- Now, read the Background Check Disclosures. After reading, click on the I authorize button.
- Next, upload your car insurance. Click on the Next button to proceed. To upload the photo of your car insurance, click on the Upload Photo button or just drag and drop the photo on the field provided. Then, click on Save.
- After that, upload a photo of your vehicle registration. To continue, click on Next. Upload the photo on the field provided. Then, click on Save.
- And now, take a profile photo. Click on the Next button to proceed. If you don’t want to add one yet, click on Skip. There, upload the profile photo you wish to use. You will also see an example photo for reference. Lastly, add your license plate number. To proceed, click on Next. On the field provided, enter your license plate number and state. Then, click on Save.
- Now, you will be given an option to learn more about the Community Safety Education. If you wish to proceed, click on Next. But if you wish to do this later, click on Skip. Note that this is important so don’t forget to have time learning about it. This will be a 22-minute watch. To proceed, click on Get Started.
- After watching the whole tutorial, a message will appear. Then, click on Done.
- After that, click on Continue to application. Now, just wait for the message from Lyft once your application is approved.
