How to Link an External Bank Account to Chime

- Open the website on your desktop computer or laptop.
- Click Log In.
- Log in with your email address and password.
- Before you proceed, a verification code will be sent to your phone number to help secure your account. Once you receive the code, enter it. Then, click on Verify.
- And once you're logged in, you will see several tabs on the left side menu. Click on the tab that says Move Money.
- Then, on the Move Money section, you will see an option for Transfers. Click on Transfers.
- On the drop-down list, you will see an option for Transfer Funds. Click on Transfer Funds.
- Now you will see a drop-down arrow at the right side of the from field. Click on the drop-down arrow.
- On the drop-down list, you will see an option for Link a New Account. Click on Link a New Account.
- Then a pop-up message will appear informing you that Chime uses Plaid to connect your account. To proceed, click on Continue.
- Now, select the bank you wish to link that is available on the list.
- Then, you will be prompted to enter your selected bank's login credentials. After entering, click on Submit.
- Before you proceed, you need to verify your identity. To verify, you could either choose to receive the code through text, phone call, or email. Click on the option you wish to select. Click on Continue.
- Once you receive the code, enter it. Then, click on Submit.
- If you have two or more accounts on the bank you link, select your primary account so that Chime will recognize. Then, click on Continue.
- And now, you will see a message saying that Your account has been successfully linked.
