How to Add an External Bank Account to KeyBank

- Open the website on your desktop computer or laptop.
- Click Sign On.
- Sign in with your user ID and password.
- Before you proceed, you need to verify your identity. You have two options: either to verify using a one-time passcode, or through answering a security question. Click on the option you wish to select.
- Once you've answered the question or entered the passcode, click on Submit.
- Once you're signed in, select the Account from which you wish to link an external bank account.
- On the page, you will see several options at the upper right part. Click on the option that says Transfer Money.
- Now, you will see a section for from account and to account. On the lower right of the To account, you will see a drop-down arrow. Click on the drop-down arrow.
- On the drop-down list, you will see an option for Add External Account. Click on Add External Account.
- Now enter the following information such as the bank's account number, routing number, nickname, and the account type.
- After that, read the Terms and Conditions. To continue, click on the blue text that says Terms and Conditions.
- Then a pop-up message will appear containing the terms and conditions. Make sure to read it. Then, click on Accept.
- Afterwards, click on the tick box to know that you have read and agreed to the terms and conditions. Then, click on Next.
- Review the following information.
- After reviewing and if everything is correct, click on the button that says Looks Good.
- And now your external bank account has been added successfully.
