How to use the Canva app to design and create a logo

  1. The first step is to download the Canva app on your iPhone.
  2. Go to App store on your iPhone and search for Canva: Graphic Design & Video.
  3.  Download the Canva app.
  4. Once the app is downloaded create an account with your name and email address.
  5. Open the Canva app and at the bottom you will be able to see three Icons: Home, Designs and Menu (3 horizontal lines).
  6. Tap on Home at the bottom.
  7. On the home page you will see Create Design.
  8. Scroll Down.
  9. There are variety of designs available to create Instagram Posts, Logos, Facebook Posts, Flyers, Posters, Phone Wallpapers, Facebook Covers, Invitations, You Tube Thumbnails, Business Cards, Photo Collages, Cards and so on. Most of the designs are Free but some of them are not free and you need to upgrade if you would like to use those designs.
  10. Tap on Logos.
  11. Tap on any Logo Design (Free) you like to customize.
  12. Once the design is open, tap on the area where you want to customize.
  13. The area that needs to be customized will be highlighted in blue line with square shape or rectangle shape depending on what design you choose. Always tap on design and highlight the area you want to make the changes, if it’s not highlighted you won’t be able to customize the design the way you like.
  14. At the very bottom, you will see several options - Edit, Playlist Script, Font, Effects etc.
  15. Tap on Edit.
  16. Tap on the highlighted area again.
  17. Once you tap on the highlighted area a small black box will show up at the top (Just above the highlighted area) with Cut, Copy, Replace, B I U >.
  18. Tap Cut.
  19.  When you tap on Cut, the area that needs to be customized will become blank and now you can enter your Logo Name by typing on your iPhone keypad (Company Name or Brand Name).
  20. TWO WAYS TO CUSTOMIZE LOGO NAME
  • Once you enter the Logo Name then you can resize it by adjusting the highlighted corners at the four ends, make it big, small, rotate etc.
  • Other way to Customize Logo Name is: At the bottom next to Edit button, Tap on Playlist Script.
  • Select any Font you like by taping on that particular font. You can also change the font size by taping on the pt., Once you tap you will be able to resize the name by make it big or small, B I U etc.
  1. Once you complete the Customization, Tap Done.
  2. Now at the top at the right-hand corner you will see two icons, one with arrow pointing downward and another with arrow pointing upward.
  3. Tap on the upward arrow sign at the right-hand corner on top, it will give options to save the Logo you created or print the design.
  4. Scroll Down.
  5. You will see many options available to save the designs or share the design such as Social Media platforms like Twitter, Pinterest, LinkedIn Profile, iMessage, Print T-Shirts, Print Posters, Print Flyers, and so on.
  6. Once you save the design with the option Save as image, Tap on Designs icon at the bottom and you will be able to see All your designs saved with Canva. If you tap on the customized design again it will let you edit and make changes again.
